Senior year is exciting and a time for celebrating but also preparing for life after graduation. For those graduates who plan to move on to college or post-secondary education, this page offers resources and tips to help Metro Schools seniors prepare. There is also information on financial aid, FAFSA submission, scholarships, and important deadlines.

Request your transcripts be sent to your college as soon as possible. Colleges cannot enroll and register you for classes until they have received all of your necessary paperwork.

Tennessee Promise

The Tennessee Promise scholarship deadline was Dec. 1. The scholarship offers students two years of tuition-free attendance at a Tennessee community college, at a college of applied technology, or at an eligible institution offering an associate degree program.

Tennessee Promise

Tennessee Promise is both a scholarship and a mentoring program, and it covers the cost of tuition and mandatory fees that are not covered by the Pell grant, the HOPE scholarship, or the Tennessee Student Assistance Award.

Students who applied for TN Promise can get more information on the TN Achieves webpage for the latest updates.

Students who applied for TN Promise must also submit the 2021-2022 Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. Information is below.

Created by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission and Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation and partners, the site has videos, written instructions, and other resources - whether students are learning in person, in a hybrid setting, or remotely.
