Surveys

The Department of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation routinely conducts surveys of the MNPS community to collect student, employee, and family feedback.

School Climate Survey

The annual School Climate Survey captures student, teacher, and staff perspectives on their school's climate. This survey measures four dimensions of school climate:  safety and trusting relationships, high expectations, civility and equity, and student-centered classrooms.

Survey Administration and Permission

Parent/guardian permission is now required for participation in the School Climate Survey.

If a parent/guardian does not give permission online or by returning a form to the school, their student will not be able to participate in the School Climate Survey.

Provide permissions with the online Permissions Portal or visit the Student-Parent Handbook webpage to print out paper permission forms.

The School Climate Survey is administered confidentially online in the Panorama Education platform for students in grades 3-12. Read Panorama's privacy policy for details. Participation in this survey is voluntary. Students may skip any question or decline to participate.
