Choosing a school for your child is an extremely important and personal decision, and it requires some research. We do our best to provide you with all the information we can through this website and on our @MetroSchools social media channels, but nothing can replace visiting a school in person.
The most important information is collected through personal experience, and we encourage prospective families to visit schools you are interested in and ask lots of questions so you can make an informed choice for your student.
Find Your Local School
If you live in the greater Nashville area, a zoned school has been assigned to your student based on your address.
If, after you visit your child's zoned school and meet the educators and staff and learn about the programs and activities available, you would like to explore other options, you can use our School Finder tool to narrow schools by location, programs offered, and available seats. You can apply to other eligible schools during our Optional Schools Application window, open each spring. Families new to the district can apply to schools with available seats when they enroll.
School Tours & Visits
Schools may host virtual events like live tours and online informational sessions along with after-school in-person tours. Check school websites and the social media channels of schools you are interested in, or contact the school directly, to learn more about its plans.
