William Henry Oliver Middle School’s goal is to provide every student with challenging, high-quality instruction that helps them develop into reflective learners, problem solvers, and critical thinkers.

Oliver strives to lead in innovative practices that engage, educate, and empower all and provide students a supportive environment to excel in academics, athletics, and the arts. From a strong band program to drama, chorus, art, and computers, there are many opportunities for students to get involved and learn something new. Oliver’s teachers provide experiences outside of the school days that allow students to become invested in the school community.  Oliver Beauty and the Beast play

“Faculty and staff have sincere empathy and express it towards everyone in the building,” Assistant Principal Molly Sehring said. “People enjoy coming to work, and it shows.”

Oliver makes sure Every Student is Known by organizing their master schedule to include a 30-minute advisory period for daily check-ins with students and dedicated time for Navigator activities. Diversity is celebrated and students are encouraged to ask questions and share their own unique ideas. Staff also provide students with opportunities to be involved in multiple activities both in and out of the school’s core curriculum in classrooms, like performing arts, before and after-school Bulldog clubs, the Backfield in Motion mentoring program, tutoring, and more.

Oliver’s school colors are red, white, and purple, and their mascot is a bulldog.
