  • Students entering grades 6-8: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Students entering grades 9-12: 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Transportation

Transportation will be provided for those who attend Promising Scholars at the school assigned by the district.

For families of our youngest learners who may be riding the school bus for the first time, here are a few things to know:

To find bus stop and route information for Promising Scholars and Credit Recovery students you must:

  • Visit Find My Bus Stop and click on the Advanced Search option.
  • Add grade
    • Do not add a school name
  • Select Summer School from the drop down menu.
  • Add your address
  • Click Find School Transportation Info.

If your student does not have transportation assigned by 3 p.m. Friday June 4 contact the Family Information Center at (615) 259-4636.

Students must arrive at the bus stop five minutes before arrival – and they must board and leave the bus at their assigned stop.  Please:

  • Work with your student to ensure they know their bus route number, which is displayed on the entrance side of the bus.
  • Be at the bus stop in the afternoon to meet your student if he or she is a kindergartener.

Families who plan to drop their child off at school, students will be allowed in the building at certain times and by grade level:

  • Rising K-5 can enter at 7:45 a.m.
  • Rising 6-8 can enter at 8:45 a.m.
  • Rising 9-12 can enter 6:45 a.m.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be provided each day for all participating students.

Credit Recovery Registration Deadline

Registration for Promising Scholars is closed, but high school students can still sign up for credit recovery until Friday,  June 11.

We’ve also added links to free at-home learning resources for math and literacy for students of all ages and abilities on the Promising Scholars page.
