Visionary, Innovative Options for Your Student
Metro Nashville Public Schools magnet schools are visionary, innovative schools that attract students interested in unique themes such as: sciences, the arts, languages, International Baccalaureate and more.
Soft skills, teamwork, acceptance and engagement make magnet schools a vibrant academic environment. Students engage in real-life preparation, interacting with peers from all backgrounds, and gaining hands-on experience working with businesses, cultural institutions, universities and community organizations in Nashville.
Magnet Schools for an Inclusive Nashville
Magnet schools seek a diverse student body to enrich the academic and social lives of our students and community. Nineteen MNPS elementary and middle schools across Davidson County provide students a dynamic academic experience, while also working to increase the number of enrolled non-minority students to end academic isolation of minority students and the school community. These vibrant and innovative schools offer unique programming such as STEAM, arts, engineering and more.
The schools, all of which are in Nashville neighborhoods with changing demographics, receive funds from a competitive federal grant, the Department of Education Magnet School Assistance Program (MSAP), to support recruitment and programming efforts.
