Surveys

The Department of Research, Assessment, and Evaluation routinely conducts surveys of the MNPS community to collect student, employee, and family feedback.

School Climate Survey

The annual School Climate Survey captures student, teacher, and staff perspectives on their school's climate. This survey measures four dimensions of school climate:  safety and trusting relationships, high expectations, civility and equity, and student-centered classrooms.

October 14 to November 1, 2024: School Climate Survey for teachers, staff, and students (grades 3-12).

Student Survey Permission and Administration

Only students with parent/guardian consent can participate in our longstanding annual School Climate Survey. Students without a parent/guardian permission response will be invited to take a version of the School Climate Survey focused solely on instruction. Opted-out students will not take the survey.

Provide permissions or opt out your student with the online Permissions Portal or visit the Student-Parent Handbook webpage to print out paper permission forms to turn in at your child's school.

The School Climate Survey is administered confidentially online in the Panorama Education platform for students in grades 3-12. Read Panorama's privacy policy for details. Participation in this survey is voluntary. Students may skip any question or decline to participate.
